In India:
- More than half the children aged 6-18 do not go to school
- More than 17 million children work for living
- 1 out of every 6 girls does not live to see her 15th birthday
- More than 50% of children are malnourished
CRY - Child Rights and You aims to change that. CRY is a voice of and for children and their rights. It seeks to enlist support from all sections of society by building awareness of the situation of children and the need to make child rights our foremost priority.
CRY brings together development organisations and marginalised children and communities. We act as a bridge between these organizations and people who believe in the rights of children - people like YOU.
CRY, established in 1979, is today one of India's most respected non-profit organisations. In the past 28 years, CRY has had a lasting impact on the lives of over 1.5 million children.
